PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE FOR PHOTOGRAPHY
Public Liability Insurance for Photography is a must have. In a short and sweet summary, public liability covers your legal liability for damage or injury in the course of your business. You won’t get very far without this type of policy nowadays. Most venues and locations will want to see evidence of your public liability insurance.
Please also remember it is a legal requirement to have Employers’ Liability cover to protect anyone you employ. This would include models, assistants, volunteers, those on work experience or anyone else under your care or control.
PROFESSIONAL INDEMNITY INSURANCE FOR PHOTOGRAPHY
Professional Indemnity insurance for photography is more than ever a critical part of a photography insurance package. The likelihood of copyright claims and disputes against photographers is greater than ever.
The policy is designed to protect against any errors & omissions that may be made. Whilst the headline cover is ‘negligence or breach of duty of care’, it is the inclusion of intellectual property and copyright protection which is the deal breaker.
Don’t be tricked into purchasing a professional indemnity policy that is ‘negligence only’, it will not cover the primary risks. We know the detailed intricacies of the professional indemnity policies available. Many do not provide the cover required, we are happy to check your policy and help you through this minefield.
INSURANCE FOR PHOTOGRAPHY YOU WON’T FIND ELSEWHERE
We have the unique ability to add re-shoot and production insurance to your photography insurance policy. Very few of our competitors are able to provide additional production and reshoot insurance. With rapidly increasing production costs for photography shoots it is more important than ever for photographers to protect themselves against re-shoot costs should they be unable to produce the required images due to reasons beyond their control.
We have a reshoot policy for photographers designed using Chubb’s expertise in the film industry and Williamson Carson’s vast knowledge of the photographic industry.
